Everything has Its Time
"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven." Ecclesiates 3:1
Today Sarah finished her VCE Maths Methods paper at about 11.00a.m. This is her last and most difficult paper for her first attempt at a VCE subject at Year 11. Then Jonathan needed a lift to the train station to get to Royal Exhibition Building at 2.00pm.
I have decided to take them both into the city for lunch! This will be a sort of celebration of end of exam for Sarah and the start of exam for Jon.
We had a Florentine Big Breakfast and Seafood pasta at 328 Cafe at 328 Nicholson St. Fitzroy, a few doors away from Tong & Choon Im's place. It was pretty tasty and the serving was big enough. We top it up with a ice coffee and a coke between the the three of us.
When we have finished, we were still early for Jon to get to REB. So we park the car and walk toward the garden and museum. We played on the playground like little kids - took a swing on the swing; got into the tube slide etc. We are never too old to have fun! Just after we left the park, a group of primary students on excursion were rushing towards the play ground equipment, screaming in delight.
We walked across the park into the Melbourne museum - mainly to look for a toilet. Jon & Sarah discovered that it was free admission for students and concession card holder. Adults will be $6. Hmm.. I decide to wait outside, looking at whatever exhibit that is free for viewing since we did not intend to stay for long.
Then Sarah rang on my mobile, "lookup!" I saw them waving at me from the second level glass window. " come join us at second floor and see Phar Lap". So I proceeded to buy a ticket for admission. But the lady before me was taking ages with enquiry about the Imax etc. The guard at the entrance waved me over, and say "just go in." Well, I was surprised, I must look like a 60 plus retired pensioner!
Well we had fun looking at various things. Sarah tried to scared me with the snake enclosure.
Jon Left at1.40 for his exam and we lingered on until about 3.00pm. We left for home - happy - father and daughter walking hand in hand across the park....
