True joy came out of real anguish

Just listened to a sermon preached by Rev David Wilkerson on the "Call to Anguish."

It was reaaly inspiring - based on the text in Nehemiah 1
We must learn to have a heart like Nehemiah - when he heard the bad report about Jerusalem's ruin - it symbolises the deplorable conditions of God's people.

He was in deep anguish- an emotional pain like that of a women in labour. He wept.

4 "So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven." (Nehemiah 1:4)

- True joy came out of real anguish
- "Do not get angry but be in anguish instead about the prevalence of wickness and injustice in our land. Watch that we do not lose the fire and first love for the Lord.

Let us identify with the sin of our generation - "Lord, I and my father's house have sin......

Verse of the Day
“ Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. ” (Psalm 39:23,24)
