Revival

I was reminded of the following songs by Robin Mark in the Album
"Revival in Belfast"

The words are what I need, it is just my prayer - send revival Lord, send it personally and send it to your church Lord. Send us revival, or else we will drift...... or miss your appointed hour...

I hear the voice of one calling, prepare ye the way of the Lord.

And make His paths straight in the wilderness
And let your light shine in the darkness
And let your rain fall in the desert.

As sure as gold is precious and the honey sweet,
So you love this city and you love these streets.
Every child out playing by their own front door
Every baby laying on the bedroom floor.
Every dreamer dreaming in her dead-end job
Every driver driving through the rush hour mob
I feel it in my spirit, feel it in my bones
You're going to send revival, bring them all back home

I can hear that thunder in the distance
Like a train on the edge of town
I can feel the brooding of Your Spirit
"Lay your burdens down, Lay your burdens down".

From the Preacher preaching when the well is dry
To the lost soul reaching for a higher high
From the young man working through his hopes and fears
To the widow walking through the veil of tears
Every man and woman, every old and young
Every fathers daughter, every mothers son.
I feel it in my spirit, feel it in my bones
You're going to send revival, bring them all back home

I can hear that thunder in the distance
Like a train on the edge of town
I can feel the brooding of Your Spirit
"Lay your burdens down, Lay your burdens down".

Revive us, Revive us,
Revive us with your fire!

Sculpture of Christ

'There was a sculptor once, so they say, who sculpted a statue of our Lord. And people came from great distances to see it - Christ in all his strength and tenderness. They would walk all around the statue, trying to grasp its splendour, looking at it now from this angle, now from that. Yet still its grandeur eluded them, until they consulted the sculptor himself. He would invariably reply "There's only one angle from which this statue can be truly seen. You must kneel!"'

The Supremacy of Christ
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross." (Colossians 1:15-20 NIV)

The recent demise of the late Pope and the installation of the new papal candidate generated a lot of media and religious interest. But our Christian heritage is much larger than a single historical church and we are fed by so many tributories, forming an ever growing stream of rich Christian heritage. Our business as believers and servants of the Lord Jesus Christ is to exalt Jesus Christ and Him alone. Any attempt in exalting and glorifying any human or tradition will be verging on idoltary.

Da vinci Code by Dan Brown - This fictional works does not deserve the attention it gets at all. It is purely and simply fiction, fiction that serves to entertain and make money for its author. The supposed attack on church history serves only to confused those gullible and those who do not know their rich heritage. Our faith, the bible and our precious relationship with our Lord jesus has endured centuries of attacks. But truth prevails and God's rule and reign has no end. Even if the roman church is in error, the testimonies of the Egyptian Coptic Church, the Eastern Orthodox churches and many more reliable historical record have ample proofs of the diety and incarnation of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

which states ......
"As long as readers take novelist Dan Brown at his word when he claims to be purveying historical fact in The Da Vinci Code, we'll keep separating fact from fiction.
Perhaps you've heard of Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code. This fictional thriller, which supposes a marriage between Jesus and Mary Magdalene that produced a royal bloodline in France, has captured the coveted number one sales ranking at Amazon.com, camped out for 47 weeks on the New York Times Best-Seller List, and inspired a one-hour ABC News special. Along the way, it has sparked debates about the legitimacy of Western and Christian history...."
