Just read a sermon transcript by Ps Bayless Conley entitled "Secret of Your Strength"
A paragraph caught my eyes and it is worth repeating : =

Based on the pattern that I see in the Scriptures, I believe the devil will attack you in the secret place of your strength. The devil will attack the seat of your strength in order to immobilize you and curb your effectiveness as a child of God. This is what the devil goes after in your life: that area of strength which makes you a unique and influential person, that deposit from God that causes you to be a force to be reckoned with. This is what the devil attacks. He knows if he can knock this area out of commission, you will not influence anyone.

Attack may come in the form of pressure to back away from utilizing your strength, brought on by people who are not comfortable with who you are or what you bring to the table. Some people are afraid to think a thought that has not been first passed down and approved by somebody else. Some people will fight you if you want to get out of the box.

Be who you are, bring what you are to the table and just let people deal with it. Do not succumb to the pressure to back off from what God has put in you, because some are not comfortable with who you are and what gifts you bring.

Another form of attack is the temptation to go to excess and to take an area of strength too far. This will turn a decisive person into a dictator, a spiritually sensitive person into someone “spooky,” or a meek and humble person into a creature of compromise and insecurity.
