Daily Musing

We gathered at the Eltham cemetery to have a Memorial Service for our late sister Mei Mei. The sun was warmth in the cool morning breeze. The cemetery was very quite and secluded among the trees on the hil slope. It was exactly one year ago when she pass away. About 15 of us were there. Uncle Tong open with prayer. Uncle Say Yaun read from Psalms 46. I gave a short reading from 1 Thesolonians and Hebrews 12 and shared a simple message of comfort. We sang Amazing Grace and the Power of Your Love. Our sister has gone before us and she is among the "Crowd of witness".

The parents and family members wept. Eddy, Mei mei's best friend said a few farwell words before the grave. It is times like these that we as ministers of the gospel feel that we have made a small contribution by channeling the comfort and healing of the Lord through His words.

We adjourned to Cathy & Jeff place for brunch...

By lunch time, I drove Carol, Karen, Tong & Choon Im to the airport. Stayed for coffee. Left at about 2.30pm to pick Sarah from school.

Prayer meeting was good eventhough there was only 8 people as the regulars 5 or 6 left for overseas. We had some pretty open sharing about needs....

"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13).
